Our Computer Programming Department organized a technical visit to Siskon Automation and Software Inc. Students who participated in the visit had the opportunity to learn about innovations and technologies in the industry. The company's General Manager, Muvaffak Amasya, delivered a comprehensive presentation on Siskon Automation's activities in factory automation and process control technologies.
Muvaffak Amasya explained the achievements Siskon Automation has accomplished since its establishment and its goals for the future. He provided detailed information about technologies used in factory automation, software solutions, and process control systems. By also sharing insights into the company's vision, mission, and values, he became a source of inspiration for our students.
Following this, Human Resources Chief Selma Çakır informed students about internship and recruitment processes within the company. The application stages, interview processes, and recruitment criteria were shared in detail. Students were provided with valuable insights regarding career opportunities at Siskon Automation.
Burçin Erdoğan Özhun, who serves as Senior Operation Lead at the company, spoke about daily work routines, projects, and challenges encountered in professional life. Information was provided about software development processes, as well as the tools and technologies used. In addition, she emphasized the importance of teamwork and continuous learning. Students had the opportunity to observe firsthand how a professional software development environment operates.
Following the presentations, a question-and-answer session was held with the participation of Deputy General Manager Aslı Amasya and Human Resources Assistant Gamze Dağlı. Students had the opportunity to ask questions about topics they were curious about. Company representatives answered the students' questions and provided guidance. Afterwards, students toured the company and held one-on-one discussions with other software developers. In this way, they gained valuable experiences both technically and socially.
This technical visit was highly productive in enhancing our students' industry knowledge and experience.
